The third remix single taken from Azymuth's acclaimed 2011 studio album 'Aurora' (FARO157CD/LP) is Ta Nessa Ainda Bicho. Following monster sold-out mixes on 12" of Azymuth's In My Treehouse (LTJ Xperience -- JD19) and Meu Mengo (Mark E -- JD 21) comes this highly limited heavyweight 12" from influential UK garage, break beat garage, broken beat and dubstep pioneer producer Zed Bias and the alias Maddslinky.
Side A brings two classic Maddslinky remixes. The first main 'Heavy Up' mix is a heavy, chopped up 140 bpm fast version that still manages to keep the beautiful jazzy elements of the original -- a dubstep roller that moves between big sub stabs and mesmerizing recurring melodies. The 'Slow Down' mix does exactly what it says bringing a more reflective atmosphere to the piece with a lovely percussive build up leading to a huge slow-house tempo mix built around Ivan 'Mamao' Conti's punchy kick-drum. Zed Bias' B-side adds a classic 4x4 beat to the tune to end the release with a real Latin -- Broken Beat bang. This UK funky house remix brings a faster tempo, funky beat and hypnotic feel from the repetition of loops with the accent on piano groove.
Hailing from London, Zed Bias (aka Dave Jones) has won a MOBO award as "Best Garage Act", reached the top 30 in the UK national charts. Having already set the blueprint for the darker UK Garage sound in the late 90's he also started to infuse a more soulful, jazzier elements and lately has been pionee
